The Complete Application Process — Step by Step

Every step you need to take, in the right order. AzubiTrack supports you through all of them.

1

Check your eligibility

Confirm you meet the basic requirements: age 18–35, minimum 12 years of education (FA/F.Sc./ICS/A-Level), and German language at B1 level or actively working towards it. Register with AzubiTrack for a free eligibility check.

2

Achieve German B1 (if not yet done)

A valid Goethe-Institut or ÖSD certificate at B1 level is mandatory. You cannot apply for Ausbildung without it. Start learning as early as possible — reaching B1 typically takes 6–12 months of consistent study. See our free German learning resources.

3

Get your Pakistani documents attested

Your school certificates must go through a chain of attestation before Germany will accept them. This takes 4–8 weeks — start early. The full chain is: IBCC → HEC → Ministry of Foreign Affairs → German Embassy Islamabad. AzubiTrack guides you on exactly which documents need attestation and in what order.

4

Prepare your CV and motivation letter

German employers expect a specific CV format (Lebenslauf) — different from Pakistani or UK formats. Your motivation letter must explain why you want Ausbildung in this specific field. AzubiTrack prepares both documents with you.

5

Apply to Ausbildung positions in Germany

AzubiTrack matches your profile with suitable Ausbildung employers and submits applications on your behalf. You can also search Germany’s official database at arbeitsagentur.de. Most Ausbildung positions start in August or September each year — apply 6–12 months in advance.

6

Attend employer interviews

Interviews are typically conducted via video call (Zoom or Teams). AzubiTrack coaches you beforehand — what to say, how to present yourself, and common questions German employers ask. Interviews are usually conducted in German.

7

Receive and sign your training contract

Once an employer selects you, you receive a training contract (Ausbildungsvertrag). AzubiTrack reviews it with you before you sign. This contract is the key document for your visa application.

8

Open a blocked account (Sperrkonto)

You need approximately €11,208 in a German blocked account to prove financial means for your visa. The money is released monthly after you arrive. AzubiTrack recommends providers and guides you through the process. Some employers provide accommodation which can affect requirements.

9

Apply for your Ausbildung visa

Submit your visa application at the German Embassy in Islamabad. AzubiTrack prepares your complete file: training contract, blocked account proof, language certificate, attested documents, health insurance, and all embassy forms. Embassy processing currently takes 3–6 months from Pakistan.

10

Arrive in Germany — AzubiTrack supports you

Once your visa is approved, AzubiTrack helps you prepare for arrival: finding accommodation, registering at the Einwohnermeldeamt, opening a bank account, and settling into your new life. We stay with you for at least 3 months after arrival.

Pakistani Document Attestation — Step by Step

This is one of the most confusing parts for Pakistani candidates. Here is the exact order.

1

IBCC (Inter Board Committee of Chairmen)

For Matric and Intermediate certificates. IBCC verifies and attests your board certificates. Submit originals — process takes 2–4 weeks. Required for: Matric, F.Sc., F.A., I.Com.

2

HEC (Higher Education Commission)

For any university-level degrees or diplomas. HEC attests Bachelor’s degrees, diplomas, and vocational qualifications. Required for: Bachelor’s degrees, vocational diplomas.

3

Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA)

After IBCC/HEC attestation, all documents go to MoFA in Islamabad for the official apostille/attestation stamp. Process takes 1–2 weeks.

4

German Embassy Islamabad

Final step: the German Embassy in Islamabad certifies the documents for use in Germany. This step can be combined with your visa appointment. Takes 1–3 weeks.

💡 Tip: Make certified copies of all documents at every stage before sending originals. Keep a full digital scan of everything. Start this process as early as possible — 4–8 weeks total is common.
